I have Olmstead for physics, I think she is the only one teaching it this quarter, its a full class, 190. Econ is Silberberg. Nice guy but I had to stand in the back of Kane 130 cause it was so full. That was no fun. Freaking have to walk from More to Kane in 10 minutes.

Yeah, we're using... EViews? Using the Ashenfelter text, it's the 2003 edition.

hmmm... at least you can pronounce the author's name...

who are your physics and econ profs?

btw zakath, you are thinking of fatalbo

Yes, yes, I was. Who's your 307 prof?

Prof's both seem to have really dry sence's of humor but thats not always a bad thing.

Who are your profs? Are you only taking two classes?

Yep, two classes and a FIG...I'm thinkin the FIG might not be as cool as I thought it might be though...
I'll give ya the prof's names later, cant remember them now =)

I've been in classes for about a month. Taking PSY304U (Internet class), OTS (Occupational Technology Studies) 370T, MKTG 311, CRJS 323 (crimial Justice). The marketing class is pretty cool. The OTS professor sucks. He is supposed to be teaching about technology and society, but grades assignments on printed paper and his website is over a year old, I have to figure out when assignments are due by getting a calander and guessing the due dates. The criminal justice class seems alright will know later this week when we get our first test back. The psychology class is hard because it is a internet class and he doesn't give notes or anything. All these classes are taught (except the psy. class) through television, distance education. Not to bad of a semester. I hope to have fun this semester.

I HOPE you were kidding...that or your just a stuck up prick...
2 classes and a FIG is what they encouraged us to take, being as this is our first trimester in college. I guess I am just lazy for signing up for the credits recommended at my orientation, should have been an overacheiver and taken 17 credits. I'm sure thats what you would have done at least.

I took 15 credits my first quarter, :p, 18 for my next three, taking 16 this quarter. It depends on what kind of course load you were used to in high school, as well. The time commitment's a little more for the classes, but that's all I can think of. No offense intended, :D.

heh, ok, I guess you are one of the guys that takes way too many credits. :) I just dont see how you could manage any kind of a life out side of class/studying. I dont quite see how there was no offence intended in calling me lazy, but whatever, no harm done =)
I was actually planing on taking 15 credits, but everyone was saying how important figs were. I'm starting to think it would have been better to take just 3 reg. classes and not have done the FIG.

FIG's aren't as useful as the U would have you believe...;) They're nice, but IMO you'd be better off juust signing up for the standard freshman classes - Math 124, Psych 101, Econ 200, etc.

My first day of classes was pretty good. Ma1/Ch1 are both pretty big and we got a PITA Ch1 problem set today. Tomorrow I only have 2 classes, the earliest being at 11, so I'm pretty set :).

i got accounting 225 with adams, music 162 (american pop song :) ) and asian american studies 101.... tons of asian girls in that class woohoo! :D i think my music class is gonna be the hardest to get a good grade. multiple choice tests at uw seem to be pretty hard in my experience =1

Who do you have for Music 162? I took it over the summer, got a 3.5... ugh. It was surprisingly hard, just fitting all the listening examples into four weeks.

Cool, several UWers here. I go there also, majoring in ACMS. I'm taking math 327 (ugh) & 394 (my prof seems cool), and cs 417 & 457. a pretty hardcore schedule this quarter, wish I could add an english class or otherwise something different but 3 of those are ones I need that are only offered once a year, and graphics is just too damn cool to pass up.

You a CS major gopunk?

Is your stat prof a guy by the name of Doug Martin? That's who I had for stat 390 last quarter. He wasn't bad at all.. it was a team-taught class, so there were like 4 different profs, and they all more or less sucked except for him. :p
