How'd you get your nick?

Just kinda curious and bored tonight, and I've been wondering where some of you guys got your nicks. I guess I'll start.

My buddy David gave me this nick name a few years back (6th grade) because we were playing basketball and I faked him out by leaning to one side and reaching around the other to steal the ball. Apparently your arm span is supposed to be the same as your height. Well, my arm span has always been a little longer than my height. I'm now 15 years old, 6'1" tall, and have an arm span of 6'7". What about the rest of you guys, I've only heard like one other story about how someone on these forums got their nick.
 
In 1996, Dodge put a little slice of heaven on four wheels, painted it blue with white stripes, & named it the:

Viper GTS
 
Mine is an abbreviation for a longer name that I use to go by, partially inspired by my dog.
 
Wow, I got responses to that much more quickly than I thought I would. BTW, XB, what's the longer name?

pretty self explantory... i like Toyota Supra's ... = ) i woulda used my other nic, but it's this japanese name i made up so i didn't want a bunch of japanese people asking me WTH it was = )
 
Well in 9th grade biology, we were studying the reproductive system. We had a test and it was one of those classes were you exchange papers and grade each others (SSN only, no names) and one girl wrote bastula instead of blastula. I thought it sounded cool - (at that time anything that sounded like bastard sounded cool).

Well its stuck since, and its basically pasted on anything that's remotely related to me.
 
Yah so, when I was 11 or so I was looking through the dictionary for a cool Handle to use on some local BBS's *coughw4r3zcough* and like I found this one and picked it. I didn't even look at the meaning, which I later found out isn't too good, but it stuck after the years since that's what everyone knows me buy 🙂. &quot;mat&quot; or &quot;cide&quot;
