And the apologists speak. Shocking...
The people who should be apologizing are those who backed a candidate that couldn't even beat Bush.

True as hell.

No, the people who should be apologizing are those who dumbed themselves down enough to back Smirky the Chimp and his merry band of Demonstrably Incompetent Creeps and Cronies.

According to the latest polls, millions and millions of Americans have manned up and admitted their mistake.

C'mon, now, you don't want to be the last one left on the short bus, now do you?

As much as I hope that the polls show Americans admitting their mistakes, I don't think it does. I do believe that the polls accurately reflect the feelings of the people. However, a large portion of people seem to throw their principles out the window during election season because they can't abandon their "team" (even if it did nothing for them to begin with).

If the American people wish to admit their mistakes, they have a great chance to do so in 2006.

So, while I do believe these polls accurately reflect the thoughts of the people, it doesn't really matter unless they choose to do something about it.

I can tell you how I've *won* in the last 5 years.......I voted for Bush because it makes me happy to view the agony suffered by liberals living in the shadow of a Bush presidency. Is that a good enough reason for you? Maybe it's good enough for me.

I know one thing for sure, I don't have to justify to you why I vote the way I do.

There is plenty of blame to go around. Like you said, those who voted for a man who has put the country enormously in debt and spent hundreds of billions of dollars in a huge mistake of a war with false pretenses, killing 2000 of our best people, and a countless amount of Iraqi's. And then those who nominated a man who couldn't even beat him.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again. The failure of the Democrats has been just as bad for this country as the success of the Republicans.

Failure to find fault with your own party will only allow these failures, and the destruction of this country, to resume.

/pssst. Perky.

I didn't vote for Bush. I never got on the short bus in the first place.

But keep trying to bash your erroneously perceived competition instead of improving yourself. The problem appears to be that you think you're too smart, or at least smarter than everyone who voted for Bush. That's nothing more than pure arrogance. It also demonstrates a smallness of thinking and is its own form of apologism and a false construct of reasoning to boost fragile egos.

But I bet you knew that already?

I applaud and agree. Both sides need their houses cleaned. I do what I can as a volunteer to effect change in the Republican party: Demanding those whom I vote for right the ship back to the principles of the GOP. This change must come from within.

I'm doing what I can and have nothing to be ashamed for. I really don't give a sh1t if some people think I should ride the short bus to work, they haven't got a clue........

Thanks for pointing out my mistake, I fixed it.

Of course you don't have to explain to me your reasons for why you voted the way you did. I asked because I wanted to know. If you don't care to share, don't.

*snif* I almost feel bad for being myself........ask me again sometime without the implied insult, maybe I'll tell you then.

Gaardfish is skinny and full of bones, and always slides off the hook. :D
