And i'll post here what I posted there...

As an AVID Stern fan, I wouldn't consider this newsworthy personally. Many of the antics of Richard and Sal are purely for shock value, stupidity and humor. While it indeed does show there are some people willing to put race first, I don't think it rises to any level worthy of real discussion. They don't mention how many people they approached, or even if the people they approached were registered voters or knew anything about the campaigns.

As others noted, its going to be a two way street. I'm sure some people will vote for Obama simply because he is black and some will vote against him for the exact same reason.

Personally, I would take anything said on Stern for its intended value, humor.

Exactly. Stern isn't trying to do some sort of drama-ridden exposé on how misinformed Obama's supporters are. He's just having fun with people, something he's always done and always will do. Politically, he's a Libertarian. He's one of the many people who rightly feels like both major parties are a bunch of idiots. So if he does have a political agenda at all, it's not to promote one candidate over the other.

Exactly, he's an immature jerk who shirks his citizenship responsibilities by being an air head.

I agree that he's immature and can be a jerk, but I'm not sure I understand your comment about 'citizenship responsibilities'. Care to elaborate?

He has a duty as a citizen to be aware of the issues and vote. Everybody should have at least a minimum political agenda to vote for the lesser of any evil that has a chance to win and not fritter ones vote away in apathy or on some joke third party, no?

You are what is wrong with our political system.

would that be at all like how people still voted for Bush in the 2004 elections despite his god-awful first 4 years?
