I am sure the mods over there don't have a broom up their..... j/k mods, don't ban me please!!!!!

I'm glad to hear this, because it is a definite signal that Infinity/Viacom is standing by Howard. I just hope he doesn't go through with his plan to go to an all-music format when President Bush signs the Communications Decency Act. I can't seriously imagine him doing that, though - he won't be able to keep his mouth shut.

I heard some of it this morning. He did make some good points but he's preparing for his retirement for sure. He has an ego even bigger than that huge beak of his and he is trying to make himself out to be a martyr. He keeps saying he is going to lose and that nobody can beat the government. Then goes on to say how smart his listeners are and how they are going to vote in one huge block and help get Kerry in. He needs to step away from the politics and check his ego.....he's not the country's savior or anyone's hero and doesn't need to lead "his people" on a charge to do what he thinks is right.

this article makes it sound as if clear channel did not crumble to pressure but that other stations picked up stern's broadcast in the markets where clear channel canned him.
Exactly. ClearChannel did nothing. This announcement was about various Infinity channels being added to the list that carry Stern. 5 of the 6 markets that lost Stern because of ClearChannel are getting him back on Infinity stations (all except Louisville), and 4 new stations are picking up the show.

if you give him a broomstick and stick a witch hat on him...damn he'd make a freaking scary looking witch with his hair and pointy-beaky nose...
