Howard Dean supporters give John Kerry flip-flops as Christmas gift

So "Flip Flop" started by the Democrats?

Dec 25th 03'
DES MOINES -- Howard Dean supporters gave John Kerry a peculiar Christmas gift -- flip-flop sandals.

Iowans for Dean delivered the "present" to the Massachusetts senator's Iowa campaign headquarters on Wednesday. Both Dean and Kerry are among nine candidates seeking the Democratic presidential nomination.

"Sen. Kerry has been flip-flopping on issues throughout his career and campaign, and we thought we could make things a little more comfortable for him," said Dean spokeswoman Sarah Leonard.

Kerry has flip-flopped on issues including the war in Iraq, Social Security, intelligence resources and taxes, Leonard said in a news release.

but no, its all republicans saying kerry is a lying flip flopper right? oh wait, even dean supports call him that. But you wouldn't hear them saying that now would you?

This is to rich for words...

Interesting. I guess if the Dean campaign hadn't given this gift to Rove et al, they would have come up with something worse anyway.

Like the Dems don't run some pretty questionable ads. Remember the ads featuring James Byrd, Jr.'s daugther run by the NAACP in 2000? Not a great moment for the Democratic Party.

The NAACP != the Democratic party. Besides, that pales in comparison to Rove's "push-polling" South Carolina voters with the lie that John McCain had an illegitimate black child.

Honestly I don't see this as a partisan phenomenon - Karl Rove is a phenomenon unto himself. He is distinguished by his complete lack of conscience and soul, not by his partisan affiliation.
