How would you solve this Twitter login problem?

I finally broke down and decided to join the Twitter community. When I tried to setup my account it said my email was already in use by this person شيخ المشايخ@zwerfoie.

So I did a password reset and tried to fix it to no avail because twitter won't let you do anything without entering a phone number, and until this person's name is off the account I don't want to provide it and have to do authentication as someone else.

Twitter's help page was of no help and didn't even have a "contact us" link. Maybe I was better off avoiding Twitter.

So how would you fix this?
 
So you don't even need to confirm by email when you make a account with them?

Sounds like a horrible system right there and twitter was already bad enough already.
 
My account password has been hacked/reset so many times that I have never even used my account.
I created it like 10 years ago, and have 1 post.
Every time I have wanted to log in to tweet at someone, I can't.

Ha! Same here! did the twitter alpha in 03 and one post!
