how would you reheat mashed potatoes?

I have: mashed potatoes, gravy, a stove, and a wide selection of pots/pans

I don't have: a microwave

any suggestions? :confused:

put them in a bag and sit on them....

unless you want to get crazy and put them in a pot over the stove...

double boiler suggestion is a good one :) wasn't sure if throwing them back on the stove would turn them to glue or totally dry them out.

don't want to ruin them, it's the only food I have in my apartment till I go grocery shopping tomorrow.

w/o a microwave, this is probably the best option.

(who the hell doesn't own a microwave nowadays?)
I threw my old one out when I moved and haven't gotten around to getting a new one yet (it's on my list of things to do tomorrow! first day off since moving that I haven't been jam packed with shit to do or contractors in my apartment)

Stovetop won't dry 'em out. Heat on low with the cover on, or leave the cover off and add a little water.

It's mashed potatoes. Add an ounce or two of water if you are worried. And cover it with a lid.

I'd just throw them in a frying pan. Other suggestions should work fine though.
