Ok, here is a little story (based on something that happened to me) and I am just interested in hearing what you would do if you were in this situation...
It is rush hour, and you are coming home from work. You are driving along, and suddenly a car cuts you off, forcing you to slow down. Big deal, happens all the time in the city. The drive continues, and now the car that cut you off is in a lane beside you, and the traffic in that lane is moving slowly, so the car falls behind you. As you approach an intersection, you switch lanes to avoid getting stuck behind traffic that is making a right-hand turn. In doing so, you get in front of the car that cut you off (but despite changing lanes rather suddenly, you DID NOT cut the car off, as it did to you).
As you continue driving up the street, the car behind you comes around, using the shoulder of the road to pass you, once again cutting you off -- this time blatantly and on purpose. You came within INCHES of being sideswiped. The car accelerates and then throws a plastic cup out of the window, along with a few other bits of assorted trash. They do not hit your car, but they were throw AT you.
Rather than turning where you normally turn, you decide to follow the car. At the next light, you finally pull up beside them. You see two guys, the driver is laughing at you, as if he accomplished something...his buddy in the passenger seat is waving "THE CLUB" automotive theft-deterrent unit at you, implying he wants to hit you with it...
How do YOU respond to this situation? Let's hear some responses, and then I'll tell you what I did.
