Real simple plus I'm lazy and don't like over-thinking so I'd go back to what worked. Eisenhower who paid off a crushing war debt and made us largest creditor in the world..

Yet you feel that those that have the most, should pay proportionally more.

So, if the Blue States are so much better off; why are you complaining that they are paying more than the Red.

You should complaining that the Blue states are not voluntarily paying their proportionally fair share of more taxes.

Liberal hypocrite:eek:

Wow, this is as close to a rude post as I've ever seen out of you.

(I'm not saying that Jokus.txt doesn't deserve it. )

There are certain snotty liberals here (mainly from CA) that seem to think they are the creme-de-creme.

They refuse to realize that the start of our couintry is "We the People"
It is not "We the Elite"

It is both the Blue and the Red, mixed with the white that make this country what it is.

Civil War #1 showed us that.
In an economic civil war which is what they are trying to insinuate, both sides lose and the country gets destroyed.

But they refuse to think of that.

It is always an US vs THEM mentality; yet when shown the mirror; they react in horror.

How would I fix it? I'd repeal the 17th Amendment and tax the states based upon their population. The States could then set the type of tax(es), the rates, and collection policies.

Restoring the State legislatures' power to appoint U.S. Senators is crucial for maximum effect of the State Rate tax, however. Without that, it wouldn't work as well.

I think you guys are fool goose bozo. 25% sales tax is redicuous. That would hurt the poor the most. People can barely afford to buy food now.

I think the real problem is not that the tax rate is not high enough, but that no one is paying any taxes other than sales tax, property tax, license fee taxes, gas tax etc. So we need to take a hard look at all the exemptions and credits and do away with most of them. Even low income people need to be paying some tax. Maybe not much but when 50% of the population is not paying income tax then maybe what needs to be said is. . .

You cant Fix Stupid!

Maybe we need a coffee tax.
(Mormons dont drink Coffee so tax it. Coffee has caffine and it is addictive.)
Just dont tax choclate.
Legalize Pot and tax the hell out of that too.

There is something to be said for spending money at the local level instead of the federal level. We do not need more federal workers in Washington, DC (Very expensive to live or work there). We need to do most of our business in our own states and survive on our own. The federal government wastes too much money, so dont send the money there.
