Depends....

if you mean outsourced to another company such as going from In house to IBM or some other that provides contract work then I would either try to land a spot with them or I would switch careers which I have been thinking of doing anyway as IT is getting old.

If you mean offshored where my work is sent to India or some other country (which is rather tough since all of my work is done onsite repairing hardware and lab equipment) then I would most certainly find a new job....

As I see it now the only thing that could possibly threaten my industry was Kerry's proclamation that he would look into sourcing drugs from other countries such as Canada at a lower cost, which I found rather contradictory to his earlier statement about not sending good jobs out of this country...a good portion of the Massachusetts economy is based on the backbone of Biotech, if they did look to other countries for drugs then that would translate into cutbacks in the US R&D centers and then cutbacks in my sector...
