You play WoW an outrageous number of hours a week too right?

I'm sure it's unrelated information.

I already have a constant feeling that I could disappear completely and hardly anyone would notice.

I'd be greatly concerned that our exchange servers went down.

even on a weekend, I get hundreds of work emails every day.

Hundreds? Do they require reply, what do you do?

It happens every so often to me, I don't mind one bit. Of the maybe 10-15 emails I get a day, I only really need to read 1-2 of them. Texts? Eh, mostly just BS social stuff. I don't really use social networking sites, and phone calls? I hate being on the phone.

I don't even read most of them... I've got enough rules setup that it's easy to see when something actually requires attention. most of them are just blanket emails that go to the entire company (everyone submits a shift report before going home for the day; the shift reports get sent out to everyone in the company), or are generic status updates for different servers.

Probably the same as every other day, since that's usually how each day goes

Nope - I prefer not to be bothered with messages or phone calls.

Fine. That's usually the norm for me anyway (not counting business emails/calls, which aren't too much anyway).

With that kinda noise I bet the silence really would be deafening.
