Real life and internet ... two completely different scenarios.

... because you know, this internet is some serious business!

That depends on the setting and a LOAD of other factors. If it's just someone saying it in passing, who freakin cares? If it's some guy confronting her and menacing while saying it, that's another story. No matter what happens, though, I'd be offended inside.

OMG teh noes!!!! Someone insulted you on the internet!

Grow up. You're acting as childish as the person who called you a whore in the first place.

Making an e-threat. That'll really show him!

If my girlfriend admitted to having anonymous sex while drunk in a public bathroom while engaged mind you on a forum, I wouldn't be sure how to react. But I know who my new best friend would be.

What if it's the truth?

Then you should divorce your wife/break up with your girlfriend.

Why contradict yourself?

I was [a slut] when I was 18. Believe it or not, things change and people change over the years. It's sad so many people like to live in the past.

I do NOT believe it is okay to call anyone a whore. I think it's very disrespectful, and makes this a hostile and unfriendly place. There's a reason ATOT doesn't allow people to name-call certain names, i.e. "b!tch," etc.

Macbaine was banned for several months because he called me the same name for no reason whatsoever. If no lines are drawn, this place degenerates even further.

My fiance would empathize with you, Nick.

How do you think she would feel, regardless of whether or not it was in passing or in a confrontational sense?

[slut] does not equal "attention-whore".

I'd hope you're smart enough to distinguish between the two.

If you do not understand the difference, you have some issues with women.

Ok, so you were referring to being an attention whore at 18? My mistake, however, my point remains -- why would you dump someone for being a 'whore' if people can change?

To answer the question if it was in person they would likely get knocked the fvck out. However if my wife came in and said that someone on the internet had called her a whore I would tell her to get the fvck over it.

They probably saw my T-shirt that says, "Your little princess is my little whore."

Then you take it to the Mods via PM. No reason to draw even more attention to yourself to give all the people who think you're an attention-whore more fuel for the fire.

If the comments of individuals that don't know you, don't mean anything to you, and will never meet you in real life bother you that much, I think you need to get your priorities straight.

Also, you think that the posters actions make this a hostile and unfriendly place, correct? Then WTF does an e-threat do, may I ask?
