How would you explain Michael Porter's Value Chain?

I learned the Five Force Model from you guys a couple of weeks ago, and it was really awesome the way you were explaining it!

But when I asked my TA how the Value Chain worked - he told me that I should ask some upper division students.... I didn't have a chance to, and was wondering if somebody can help me incorporate it or explain it to me.

I want to do the work on my own, but I'm just wondering how I would go about writing a 150-word value chain on say - U.S. Steel Corp.?
