If you don't upgrade very often, dual core will make it even less often.

Just wait until a coulple weeks before you order it to worry about speccing a list....

You coudl always just build the box, and use the peripherals you use currently until you can afford new ones. That type of stuff is still expensive, and doesnt improve too heavily over time.

The 6800GT will likely go down in price in 3 months, as well as the A64. Other than that give or take a bit, nothing major. Buy now, get that extra 3 months out of your system. Waiting is painful and not really worthwhile haha.
