Looks like he'll get all the $5 foot-longs he can handle in prison.

Except, they won't cost $5.

And... It'll be big black guys.

I can't see the court docs from work they are blocked but yahoo's link is claiming that he was paying for the sex with the minors. DAAAAMMMNNN

"Longtime Subway pitchman Jared Fogle has agreed to plead guilty to allegations that he paid for sex acts with minors and received child pornography that he knew had been secretly produced by the former director of his charitable foundation, federal prosecutors said in court documents released Wednesday."

The crimes are far worse than I imagined. Five years is not enough. I hope gets the max that the Feds are seeking. This is Club Fed, not some rinky dink state facility where he could serve a couple years of a 10 year sentence. He'll be on welfare by the time he gets out of prison, after restitution and lawyers fees. Future employment is not an option. He'll have a problem just finding a place to live as a level 3 sex offender. And the courts probably won't let him see his kids unsupervised.

What a strange turn of events. Jared's celebrity always came from an unlikely source, and obviously the fact that he lost a bunch of weight never said anything about his character. It now appears very likely that he and Taylor both had a taste for some pretty ugly stuff, and in fact that was probably a core element of their friendship. By the time he is through with his divorce (his second) and the inevitable civil suits, and has spent several years in prison, he will be unemployable and quite likely broke. Easy come, easy go. Very very weird story all around.

He is a married father of two according to CNN. I wonder how his wife feels about all this.

The article talks about a 17 year old girl. If the victims have all been through puberty why not just try to meet 18 year olds? This seems like a case of a famous person being tempted into sin.

It's somewhat amazing to me that even a minor celebrity like Jared could think they stood a chance of getting away with this kind of behavior. It's perhaps more amazing that he did for as long as he did.

Kind of reminds me of Louis CK's SNL monologue that caused so much controversy. So much to lose, and he still did it.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/19/us/subway-jared-fogle-charges/index.html

one count of traveling to engage in illicit sexual contact with minors

Well shit, he wasn't just storing images on his server. As one might expect it didn't stop at just online CP and he was at least trying IRL. From there it's a very small step to harming the children in his charity.

It sounds like they had a bunch of evidence but since he wasn't fighting it they let him plea for one count of each type of offense.

OK, it's bad. Real bad. Not sure why he escaped w/o a rape charge.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/08/19/jared-fogle-court/31979091/

Prosecutors have agreed to seek a sentence no greater than 12½ years. Fogle agreed not to seek a sentence of less than five years. In federal cases, prisoners must serve at least 85% of sentences.

In documents released Wednesday, the plea agreement says Fogle traveled to New York for sex with at least two minors between about 2010 and 2013 at the Plaza Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The victims were 16 and 17 years old. Fogle repeatedly asked one of the minor victims and "several others" to "provide him with access to minors as young as 14 years" for sex. He told one of the victims, "The younger the girl, the better." Fogle said he would "really make it worth her while if she could find one."

He also offered "numerous prostitutes" — apparently adults — with whom he had sex a finder's fee for access to minors he could pay for sex.

Fogle repeatedly made travel plans to have business trips "coincide with his pursuit of commercial sex acts."

Careful what you say around here. I got banned by the PC thought police on this forum for merely SUGGESTING that Jared was into child porn. Mod considered that to be "trolling" regardless of the fact that the feds raided his house, seized his computers, and said that he was the focus of their investigation. Apparently, until you're convicted, it's not PC for people to think anything different. I wonder how many people got banned for thinking that OJ is a murderer or that Cosby is a rapist.

If you have a complaint about moderation, you need to take it to the moderator discussions forum. Given the number of mod callouts you've had in the past, I'd think you would know this by now. -Admin DrPizza

These are court documents quoting Jared from a major news source. It's OK to not say "if true" at this point; they are his own words.

Pitchforks and torches are justified.

Nope, not justified according to the mod that banned me for "calling him guilty" without Jared being convicted.

Psst, he's been convicted by his own admission.

Go to my original posts to see how it's possible to question someone actions w/o calling them a rapist. Of course the users crawled up my ass for that, so damned if you do damned if you don't, eh?

His wife is not even bad looking. Why even get married?

Nevermind I thought he was molesting boys.
