how/when does Dell charge ur credit card???

dunno if i'll this is the rite forum or if i'll get many responses but how/when does Dell bill ur credit card?? i ask because i placed an order on 1/12/03 and havent seen any changes in this order. about two hours ago i received the package for the printer i ordered. and now, five minutes ago got an email that that said shipping on my order would be delayed until the 30th. checked my CC account rite now and there have been no Dell charges at all. seems a bit weird that they would ship an item and not charge.

btw does anyone know how dell's rma's/returns work...if i had started one but decide to keep the item later on, i could prolly just hold on to the item and not ship it rite?

Explanation: Don't worry your credit card will be charged promptly and no second printer.

WHy?
Dell uses drop & ship vendors for most orders none pc related. Not all vendors report right away to Dell if they shipped your order but for ingram micro orders they get tracking number instantly. Ingram Mico owns about 7warehouse nationwide, they can ship your printer from nearest one that has the product in stock.

After little hassle with Dell RMA, it took about week and half for airborne to finally come and pick it up, 2weeks later dell mailed me notice that they credited me

hmm, i always thought they charge your credit card whenever they feel like it.
