How well will my laptop run WoW?

Is anyone playing WoW on a laptop like mine? I'm just curious how it will run if I buy it...

It is a HP NC6000. It has 1GB of ram, a Radeon Mobility 9600 64MB, and a Pentium-M 1.6. The native res on the display is 1400x1040, but 1024x768 looks fine in games like Morrowind. I also have a Dell 2005fpw, but I can even run that in 1280x768 or whatever if I have to (I run HL2 at this res).

I think it would run fine on that system. WOW seems to scale very well for older systems.

Yeah, I'd heard it scaled ok. EQ2 seems to be a different matter, so I was thinking trying WoW this time around. Prior I used to play AC and then DAoC...

It will run great.

I get about 30-36 FPS outdoors and 60 FPS indoors with my Athlon XP 1700+, 1.28GB of RAM (overkill, just using it for now until I get my second PC up), GeForce 3 Ti200 64MB @ 1024x768 @ default settings.

My friend with a P4 1.6Ghz, 512MB of RAM, GeForce 2 MX200 runs @ 1024x768 @ default settings and gets about 10-15 FPS outdoors.

I have a Pentium M 1.6 with 512MB of ram and MObility 9000. It runs about at 25FPS if I use the unofficial radeon drivers packages for laptops.

I have the exact same laptop... Work issued it to me, so I had better not install it to see... 🙂

Should work fine though... it's not that big of a hog.

i have almost the same thing except 512 MB of ram

and i run at 16??x10?? i do turn the effects down alittle and no AA or AF but it

runs ok except around ironforge it gets pretty bad

that 1GB should probably do the trick though

I'll buy it once my fiance goes back to the UK. I don't want to end up sucking time up that I'd rather be spending with them instead.
