How well does ECC memory overclock compared to non ECC

Oh! dear just bought 512meg DDR cl2.5 ECC and whilst moochin noticed some people are having problems upping the fsb with ECC is this right would I better with non registered ram ?

I haven't ever seen any tests comparing ECC to non-ECC memory before. Overclocking wise that is. My guess is that ECC memory would overclock just the same or worse than non-ECC memory. ECC memory has extra circuitry to test the validity of data it stores. That extra circuitry *might* be more sensative to overclocking.

Yeah, I agree with TECHFUZZ. Normaly you use ECC memory on servers.
Its normaly slower than the NON ECC, since it tests validity of the data.
Yeah go for NON ECC, DDR2400 suppose to be very good memory.

Interesting point: everybody says registered is slower, but how much? and is it true at all? Anybody knows review?
