How well do outdoor rugs last?

Saw some nice outdoor rugs at Target last night. I want to put one on my covered balcony. No direct sunlight or rain should fall on it, but it will get some moisture in teh summer. From what I've read on the rug label, I only need to clean it off with some mild soapy water. The rug has a very low nap and its polyester I think, so it really shouldn't absorb too much.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these. Thanks 🙂

Edit: The rugs on the balcony will be covered but not behind glass.
 
They should last if they're made to be in the outdoors. Obviously water and UV hurt them the most....expect them to last a few years, but they'll probably last 4-5 before they need to be replaced. That's how long most of mine last and they're also under a covered porch.
