like fvcking hell, that's how mine went.

First of all, I'd just like to say that I absolutely LOVE Pittsburgh, aside from the dumbass city planner and/or civil engineers who decided to build an entire city with NO logical traffic grid. I saw ONE street that was perpendicular to another. Every other intersection is all fvcked up at odd angles. Living on the west coast, I guess I got spoiled by always having a logical parallel and perpendicular traffic grid to find my way around with. I had the best time I've ever had on a vacation short of Disneyland when I was in 6th grade. When you're 12 or so and you're hanging out with hot southern california women with great racks, it tends to leave an impression. Anyway, I digress. Acquiring gainful employment in Pitts would make staying in Oregon an unbearably tough decision.

Now for the ranting.

I woke up saturday morning around 10 ish. Viper GTS didn't get up until 2, but TheBlondOne came over late morning like she usually does. She and I watched nature shows in HDTV. It's amazing what kind of stupid bullsh|t you'll watch just because it's in HD.

When Viper got up, the three of us drove about an hour to see one specific car that a used-car dealer said he still had on his lot. When we got there, he shows us a completely DIFFERENT car. We were asking for a Subaru and he shows us a Chevy. What the fvck. When we pointed that out and told him of the internet advertisement, he said that he remembers selling that one earlier and that someone else must not have taken it off the internet yet. :rollp; Yup, thanks. Bye.

On the way home, I was bored so we stopped at a local Best Buy where I proceeded to spend a sh|tload on a PSP, the Metal Gear AC!D game, and an accessory kit for it. I forgot about taxes in PA, too. Fvcking goddamnit. Next time I'm bored, someone please remind me that money doesn't grow on trees? While I do LOVE this thing and what all it can do, I'm a dumbfvck.

Saturday night we went to a place called Touch in downtown Pittsburgh. It's a dance club where the guys have a very strict dress code such as no t-shirts, no boots (even though I got in with my Tim's anyway), no shorts, no hooded anythings, and so on. The dress code for women was pretty much non existant. Well, so was the amount of clothing that all the women there had on, but I don't think anyone was really objecting. I went with Viper, TheBlondOne, and their friend Stacy. We showed up early, around 9p, so we could have plenty of time to nurse the $1 mixed drink specials before 11p. Yes, that's right, one dollar for things like an AMF, Long Island, wine, champagne, blah blah blah. Well I hadn't been drinking more than beer in quite some time and I foolishly assumed that my tolerance level would be the same. So I spent $12 in the first 40 minutes for drinks. I then spent $0 for the next two hours hugging the toilet. Bah... what a dumbfvck. Anyway, when I was able to stand, I went back upstairs, found my friends, and we left. Sarah was the only one who was sober, which is good, because she was driving. Back at Viper's house, I sat down in the chair in the living room and went to sleep. Stacy crashed on the couch to sober up until 4am when she woke up and drove home. Apparently she made it because she and I talked on the phone Sunday morning.

I woke up at 10a Sunday morning. I grabbed some water and drank quite a bit over the course of the morning trying to fight dehydration. My hands kept shaking, but I didn't feel dizzy or have a headache. My dumbass deserved it, though. TBO came back over and the three of us just hung out until 4:30p Eastern when we had to leave for the airport. I packed everything and off we went. I didn't blame them for just dropping me off, but finding my way around an unfamiliar airport while feeling like sh|t didn't really help. As I was passing through the security gate, my ticket apparently had a printing on it that I had been pre-chosen for additional security screening (four flights within 1 week, maybe?). Fvcking great. That didn't take more than 10 minutes, though, and the guys were baseball fans so we talked about Friday's game while they ripped my carry-on apart looking through EVERYTHING.

The flight out left at 6:10p Eastern and was a miserable 5.5 HOURS from Pitts to SanFran. I swear I was going to explode if I didn't get off that plane. I wasn't nervous about anything. I'm not afraid of heights or planes and am not chlostrophobic (sp?), but something was really *really* getting to me on that damn flight. Having the PSP there with some mp3's that I put on it earlier really helped. When I got off in SanFran, it was 8:30ish Pacific and I had to go from one side of the airport to the other. Anyone who's been to San Fran knows what I'm talking about. It takes a good 5 minutes to walk between two terminals that are adjacent. By this time I was so tired and sore that my carry-on felt like a million pounds. Good thing my connecting flight didn't leave until 10:30p. I made it to the gate and just sat there. Sitting drove me more crazy but I didn't have the energy to stand. On the flight from San Fran to PDX, I was relatively more calm, though. I was more and more tired but I couldn't seem to sleep.

When the plane touched down in Portland, it was just after midnight Pacific. I grabbed my duffle from the baggage claim and hobbled out to the light-rail station to catch the train to Beaverton so I could crash at my office before having to start work this morning at 8a. What do I see? The LCD reader board says the next outbound train boards at 5:03a. What... the fvck. Five fvcking goddamn hours. Since I had absolutely no concept of prices for taxi, I went over to the taxi control booth and asked how much to get to Beaverton. $60. SIXTY dollars for the NEXT CITY WEST. What the fvck. Wow, I have all of $11 in the bank and $3 in my pocket. ...goddamn moron just *had* to buy a fvcking PSP didn't I.

I spent the next five hours sitting outside the airport, right along the main drag where folks pick up and drop off other folks. A few nice people that I'd talked to on the plane went by a few times and because I had a previously established converstation with them, I asked if they were going to Beaverton and if I could give them my last few dollars for gas if they'd take me. None were. :( I ended up waiting out the entire 5 fvcking hours for the train to show. I arrived to my office, where I'm sitting now, around 6:15a Pacific.

Wow. Nine hours. :(

Now that I've had a hot shower and have a bed to sleep on, I can't sleep even though I'm so freaking tired. I don't know how I'm going to make it today.

Take the day off.... jesus christ.... go home sleep the work day, and play PSP all night.

You'll be fine:)

Nope, verified no dead pixels before leaving the BB parking lot. I'm in  with PSP.

I know I will be, but it never *feels* like I'll be fine until the feeling-like-shiott has already passed. There's an extremely important deal that came through today that I have to close but I think I'm going to take the rest of the day off after that to recoup.

Cliffs?

Do you really care how my weekend was or did you just want to rant like crazy?

If you do care, I was handcuffed and put in the back of a police car. Long story short, don't street race.

Yeah I know the feeling oh too well... those last few fateful hours before dawn... when you realize you're not going to sleep, and that you're whole body is going to be screaming for sleep all day long. And you keep alternating from "suck it up and go mode" to "fvck it all I don't care if I get fired, I'm not moving".

Blech thats the worst.... and sadly you have no excuse because it's all your fault... so all you can do is drag yourself out of bed mumbling obsenities at yourself.

Go to 7-eleven, get Maxtime-Uppack, chase it with 2 redbulls, and get one of those mega Arizona green teas to nurse all afternoon.

I've not heard of Maxtime-Uppack and I've never had a redbull or Arizona green tea. If that will get me through the day, then rock on. Thanks

You should see him with their kitten. He turns into this, like, super softie. The kitten absolutely ADORES him and follows him everywhere around the house. In the morning when a door opens upstairs, if she's not already laying on the floor outside his bedroom, she RACES up the stairs to see if he's getting up. :D It's cute to see him talk to her. :p

Went and watched airplanes take off and land on either side of Reagan National Airport yesterday.

Otherwise nada...just wasting time.

For the record, Pittsburgh rocks .. except for the traffic. PITA to get into the city during morning rush hour. It takes about an hour just to get through the Squirrel Hill tunnels.

Also for the record, gainful employment can be found in the tech area. A friend of mine just got a consulting job downtown and I landed a job outside of Pittsburgh with a defense contractor. I start 6/7.

Was it your car? If so, are you going to get it back? Can't the police take your car away for street racing?

My car. They went after me and let the other guy go. Yes they can take your car away and they would have. However for reasons I will not disclose I was let go. They should have gone after the other guy.

went to nyc on sat for friend's birthday. got trashed - drank from 3-10pm. took the train home. threw up as soon as i got off the train (fvuking hot, stuffy train).

battled my hangover on sunday while trying to put on my rear syar bar on my car. neither i, nor my friends could get the brackets to fit on the rear axle. so gave up for next weekend (when we can go to another friends house and use his lift)....spent the rest of the night driving around.
