Didn't go to my prom, but my girlfriend's (different city) was a pretty cool night. Didn't stay long at the dance, but went to Hell's gate dam and sat out there holding each other and listening to music most of the night. Was pretty wierd though (had to stay with her and her parents because was 10 hour drive) and her dad was treating me like I was his son-in-law. Was actually the last time we seen each other, I went to college and she didn't.

There was an altercation at one of my favorite hangout places....2 people from the other side came back after it and ended up stabbing 4 of my friends...this was during my week of the senior prom. None of my friends went to the prom...well except one..guess he wanted to pretend things were normal while one of my friends was in the hospital almost dying. Btw, I didn't want to goto the prom anyway...i thought it was kinda stupid...however my gf at the time wanted to go pretty bad.

I went last year to the prom as a junior (both juniors & seniors go). It was alright, didn't do much of a pre or post party (a few of us hung out at my house for about an hour, then they all went home). This year I'm going to two proms, mine is next saturday and a friend of mine's is the following saturday. I know mine will be cool, cause my uncle is letting us borrow his limo (he owns one, we just have to pay the driver) and a friend of mine who always hosts cool parties is having one afterwards. Don't know about my friend's prom; that weekend is going to be really busy, so I'm just going to go with da flow and let her plan everything.

Pay too much for tux, go pick up date, meet with friends, go to dinner, eat, go to prom, dance and stuff, go to friends house, hang out, have small party, go home.

it was pretty standard.

I didn't want to go by myself. Everyone I asked turned me down (not that me getting turned down is anything unusual. In my life, I have a 100% track record on getting turned down :p).

My sister was sweet and said she would go with me (she is only a year younger so was a junior), but I didn't really want to go with my sister. It was really nice of her though, because she is kind of a hippie anti pop culture never wears a dress or skirt kind of person, but was willing to get dressed up for me.

Your own prom usually sucks ....
... mine wasn't a hit either.

The actual/official "prom" was boring as hell.
Afterwards (~2.00AM/3.00AM) I went to a club with some friends of mine but it was almost empty by then ...
...I went home and slept.

(one of my friends who went to the club forgot his keys and his parents weren't home that night => he slept in a park. Now that's a cool way to finish you prom .... :D)

My senior prom was the first time I'd gone out on a date with this one girl I had just met recently. We had a great time, and a few years later we're now engaged to be married. :)

My prom wasn't too expensive. My tux was only $75 (as opposed to the std $140, it pays to get in on the prom sales). Our class raised a crapload of money so the actual prom was only 10 bucks (incl dinner). The dance blew, but when you and your friends start doing the lawnmower (with our alteration of spraying starter fluid) it's great fun. Afterwards, the school sponsered a post prom party to prevent drug use/drinking which was great fun. No stories from it, just fun.

that's amazing. Congrats d00d.

I was kicked out of school before prom and wasn't allowed to walk on graduation either. Shame on me.

i was on the grad committee; so being involved from months in advance made it more enjoyable..from helping to plan location, to theme, to music, etc...

the actual night was ok, although the music isn't what was requested, the dessert we made fun of, but everyone had a good time. i'm sure there were many afterparties, even grad parties following for weeks after, a few of which i attended...nothing major just people hanging out. but the night of the grad--my best friend and her date, and my boyfriend and i had rented a hotel room. we had also rented a lincoln town car so we were driving in style.

I didn't go my senior year, because I was out of the state at a college soccer camp. (I ended up getting a full scholarship from the school because of the camp.)

My junior year was great, although if you ask her she wouldn't give you the same answer. I had just started dating this girl a month before prom. She was a really cute cheerleader but had a seriously over-protective father. I was her second boyfriend.

Anyway, my friends, their dates, and us go to eat my favorite restaurant (italian) where I knew the owner and chef. They come out and treat my date and I like celebrities. We go to the dance. She doesn't want to dance to any fast songs, just the slow ones. And she keeps her hands "busy" while we sit at the table. We all leave to go to a friend's house for the post-prom party. Her dad lets her go to the party and stay overnight only if there are adult chaperones at the house. The parents were there but they got stoned and ended up in the pool house.

What got my date pissed off is that I got drunk and passed out. I passed out before we could, uhm, you know... She had been telling all her friends the week before that prom night was going to be "our special night," the night when she'd become a woman. :p

She wouldn't talk to me afterwards until graduation night. But by then she was already dating someone else - who I think ended up getting her pregnant and then got married. The funny thing is that her dad thought I had my way with her because of how pissed she was. He talked to my dad, then my dad asked me, I told him the whole story and then my dad, laughing, called him back. He let me listen to the conversation. Her dad laughed too.
:D

but go out and have fun on prom night. and remember, wrap that rascal!!!!!
