MYTH!
Unhealthy foods give you a "beer belly," not beer for god's sake. Beer has no fat whatsoever, and it has very few carbohyrdrates. It's just a bunch of empty calories. If you ate a healthy diet but had beer, you wouldn't get a "beer belly." People make it sound like beer is the sole cause....no you numbnuts! It's the potato chips that you have with your beer!
Parly correct, Kami. Weight gain is all a matter of (calories in - calories burned). If you take in too many calories, you're going to gain weight. It doesn't matter if those extra calories are in the form of beer, grain alcohol, Pringles, beet juice, tofu, or whatever. Some call this weight gain a "beer belly", some call it a "pot belly", some call it the "spare tire". Whatever you call it, it's just your body's little way of telling you not to shove so much crap into your gaping maw. 🙂
