If this isn't the right place to ask, please move it. I have Vista and a Dual Core T2080 with 1gb ram and integrated videocard IIRC. Maybe the following information will help. No good wifi connection I think, and I tried a portable TV but couldn't get any reception.

Your User Guide should tell you how to do that if the Videocard IIRC is indeed a TV adapter built in. If it is, there would be a connector for your TV coax cable. I have never seen this built in to a laptop. Mostly have dealt with PCMCIA video cards such as you find here:

It would help to know exactly what make and model your laptop is.

I lost the user guide and maybe there isn't an integrated videocard. It says Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and the laptop is an Acer 5570z

Yep... you have integrated video. Anything Intel is integrated.

Your best route for watching tv on your laptop is to either get a USB TV Tuner and hook that up to an antenna or your cable line or go with a PCMCIA solution. Should you go the PCMCIA route, make sure your laptop is using a PCMCIA slot and not the newer, not compatible with PCMCIA cards, ExpressCard slot.

Sling it, baby! :D

Welcome to the Home of Slingbox

It's pricey, but, 'Oh, BOY!!!"

After you get tired of messing with the ad-man, watch the "Slingbox explained in 40 seconds" video - then take the tour...

Get a Slingbox and you'll think you died and went to heaven!!!

Heck, you can even watch TV (NFL) on your lappy at work... :)
