how to view avoided player list on 360?

really? seems weird. so all those people i've listed from COD4 just to stop being thrown into the same game over and over again are stuck there?

nice!

Don't do that. It seems weird to you because you're using the system for something other than what it's intended for. If you had a good reason for not wanting to play against those people, you wouldn't want to remove them from the list.

how else am i supposed to stop being thrown into block 11 times in a row - with the same people ffs

i've mailed MS and will see what they say.

no way to do it apparently. ah well. was hoping to use it as a temporary avoid list. i've just had to add more in one game FFS! quit a game 3 times. added the entire enemy side to the avoid list. started a new game and then put me on the other side! had to add every single person in that game to the avoid list just to stay out of there.

hope MW2 doesn't suck this much

Why does it matter so much if you play with the same people a few times in a row? That's how it's always worked on PC..I hate matchmaking systems that need to get you in to new games every single match. It takes longer and you can't get little rivalries going.

Well depending on what game mode you were playing in COD4, that may have been one of the only games available that you could get into, or it was the best one you could get into based on your network connection. I've never had a problem getting stuck in the same game over and over.

if it puts me in a match on a map i despise (block/overgrown), or a game where i have 2 bars for my ping while everyone else shows 3-4 (usually when i get put up in matches hosted in the US). Also times where i get thrown in a match that's started. that one's not always a no no. if both sides are within 50 or so points i dont mind too much, but when my side has 90 and other other side has 630 - that's a bit much dont you think?

i had a great session last night, didnt quit any games, played against relative locals and didnt end up on maps i hate.

i play team deathmatch, or merc TD. what annoys me, is getting thrown into bloc 5 times in a row and then after adding loads of those guys to my avoid list, start a game of wet works thats just started. why not put me in that in the first damn place.

i've accepted that's how the game is (still want to rant about ti though just to get it off my chest lol). just hope MW2 is different. it's a rental first for me, just to make sure

I've never had a problem with this... do me a favor though and run a network check on your xbox. Did it say anything about your NAT type not being fully open? If you're being thrown into the same game over and over again it's probably because your router and/or firewall is preventing you from joining the majority of the games.

that was a problem when i first got on there, i forward the public IP on and it all checks out fine. it is weird, like last night everything went perfectly whereas earlier on today it was a total PITA. i think it's just luck in the end. if people have quit a game then i guess the system prioritises towards filling those slots as opposed to starting a new game.

If I get put into a game that's a rout like that, I just play it to the end and see if the teams rebalance. If they don't rebalance, it's because people are in large parties. If it does rebalance, the next game should be more even.
