Quick question...I used Rivatuner to apply the 60hz refresh fix...so now what is the best way for me to test that it is actually working?

TIA

Can't you tell just by running any game and simply looking at the screen?

One would imagine that you would be able to immediately see if it's only running at 60Hz.

i agree with rand. at 60hz, its like, ack, no, im going blind.

but when i go to adjust my monitor settings (the buttons on the monitor), it always tells me the refresh rate, so you can try that.

yes, use the on screen control panel on your monitor, it should say v60Hz (or something like v85hz, if the fix worked :)

Your best bet is to use your monitor's OSD since sometimes your refresh isn't necessarily 60 Hz without the fix when you play a game.

Another way is to enable vsync and then enable the framerate counters in games and see if it ever goes higher than your monitor's refresh rate.

If you happen to have Quake3, I believe the console command "/r_displayrefreshrate" will tell you (no quotes in game).

<< thnx guys, i used the OSD, and all seems well now :) >>

Question, if you cannot visually see the difference why do you care what refresh rate it runs at?

Why use 85 Hz when you can use 100 Hz (for example)?

Well I can see the difference, but I didn't have any games installed that it would mater on. The only thing I have been playing is DS, and I doubt it makes too much difference there. I was looking for a way to check it without having to run a benchmark using quake, etc. Besides I like to know that everything is running at its full potential

Less stress on the monitor. I see no reason to use a refresh rate higher then you can see.
