baaad question, that fact is i don't much about d3d or opengl especific usage. here's the problem, i was using ulead dvd movie factory or neodvd and everytime i'm in the middle of converting to dvd video the program crashes. i search for the solution and one forum suggest that it must use with opengl. now, how do i set it to opengl?
i'm using win xp
amd 2000xp
512 pc2700
audigy platinum
ati radeon 9700 pro
80 gig ibm 7200rpm

you cant.

opelgl is strictly 3d. mostly engineering apps & games.

directx includes direct3d, which is games and directdraw which is movie / graphic apps.

This has nothing to do with DirectX or OpenGL. This has to do with your codecs and drivers.

Update your motherboard drivers to the latest available, and make sure whatever you're trying to encode to MPEG2 doesn't crash on its own - eg "is it the same spot every time?"

Cut-&-paste or link the conversation from this "other forum" if possible.
