Yeah, a metal object that's in contact with the ground somehow (I use a metal chair)

It recommended to use it as a nipple-clip like you have surely seen in many bondage movies.

That is actually wrong. How exactly is your chair grounded? If it's on a "charged" carpet, you will actually get the charge from the carpet! You should connect the other end to the computer case which is grounded through the third wire of the power cord. You can also connect it to a pipe of the heating system in your house.

Would it be grounded if i connected it to a metal chair setting on a hardwood floor??
How about a clipped to a toaster(that is not on)but, plugged in?
Also,If i plug it into something that is not plugged into a three prong outlet(only a two prong), am i grounded?

I just got all this new equipment, and I'm a newbie scared of frying my stuff!!!

Connect it to the chassis, and to make sure that your computer is unplugged from the wall outlet, connect it to the third prong of the power cord (make sure cord is unplugged from outlet).

You want the voltage between you and the equipment you're working on to be zero, so it doesn't matter whether you're grounded to earth or your metal chair.

This is probably not something you want to hear, but most of us do NOT even use a wrist strap. I build systems barefooted, and on a carpeted floor. Never a problem, no lie !
