I have a large number of mp3 albums that are compressed into mostly .rar's and occasionally a .tar or .zip. I would like to uncompress these files and put them on a new hard drive. I am wondering if the best way to do this without corrupting the files is to:
A) Uncompress them on current hard drive, then move over the mp3s to the new HD
B) Uncompress the files directly onto the new HD
C) Transfer the .rar's to the new hard drive, then uncompress them there.
I plan on using an .sfv file checker to confirm the files' integrities after the fact.
Anyone know?
