You must be kidding me man. I'd say that win98se is the most stabile and what else do you need!!! Don't forget that it is stabile since I have it I haven't had the blue screen. Before that I had only win98 and I should say it was full of bugs ;-[ anyway

sorry cococola1 I don't really know how to do that man ;-[

pepo:

Not only is your English atrocious, but the information in your post is inaccurate as well. Win2k is MUCH more stable than ANY version of Win98. Since it sounds like you have never used Win2k, I think it is inappropriate for you to be making suggestions as to which OS is "better."

cococola:

I would reformat.

win2k is so much better than win9x it isnt even worth debating really, but since im board.... Win98 cant mamnage memory worth a damn(try leaving a win9x box on for a week with heavy use and it will be crawling IF it's even still running) win9x is about as secure as a swiss cheese. Win9x is about 15-20% slower in most 3dapps(Anyhting CPU intense seems to be faster in NT, including divx rips) win98 is much worse dealing with shared IRQ's. Thats all i can think of off the top of my head :D

Win2K is a great OS, i like it very much. I'd keep it if i can but I'm a beginner at networking so it's a little complicated for me. The partitions are Fat32, so they're unchanged when i installed win2K. it doesnt seem like it's un-installable so far!
