How to Uninstall SP2

Ok, i already read throught the microsoft's guide and i looked in my add/remove programs and sp2 is not listed. I know I have sp2 because 1. i installed it, 2. system properties shows sp2 right under win2000.
I need to uninstall this thing, it is giving me hella problems that nobody has been able to help me with.

Well.... I know one way and thats the hardware... reinstallation of Windows 🙁

The only way I know of is if you checked the box during SP2's original install that makes a backup of your old files. If you want to get back out of SP2 without reinstalling everything (a pain if you have tons of programs) then do a repair install. This basically checks your file dates and replaces newer ones from the SP with the ones from the CD. To do this you boot from the CD and choose repair. If you use a ERD I am not sure what will happen, but I do know that if you pick the option of going without it then it will definitely work. I had to do this to recover from a virus on a Windows 2000 Server install and didn't want to redo all of the groups and users.

Thanks for all the advice. Luckily I found the REAL cause of my error. It was my PPOE program for my DSL that was giving an "INVALID APPLICATION KEY" The only reason i noticed this after installing SP2 was because the first thing i did was to install my DSL connection, then i downloaded SP2 and after installation, i rebooted, thus causing the error, which was not SP2, but my DSL connection software.
I still have SP2 installed but now no more error since i installed a different PPOE client.

thats good, because i dont think much ppl have any problems with the service pack 2 for win2000
