how do i turn on a computer without a case?

i'm testing out motherboard and i dont want to mount them in the case and than attach the power stuff every single time i test a new motherboard.

thanks guys

I just identify the two pins that connect to a power switch and short them momentarily with a screwdriver FWIW.

A better way to do this (safer) is to go to your local electronics shop, by a cheapo momentary switch and rig it up to a 2 pin connector. Hook that onto your motherboard and at least you have a switch now. I used to use the screwdriver approach, but it's a little cumbersome sometimes. Just make one of these makeshift motherboard switches and you can re-use it for future experimentations 😉.

if your bios supports it ..you can use Keyboard Power up....just hit Control Esc..and it powers up... : )
