How to transport a 8GB file?

i have a 8gb file on my desktop computer.

i want it on my laptop.

how do i do that?

I dont have a 8gb usb key, only 1gb.

they are both on the same wireless network

it is divided into 12x700mb files. I dont want to copy files onto my usb drive 12 times.


edit

i cant afford a 8gb usb

plus, my firewall disabled all my networkin features. wont work even if i edxit firewall on both comps

Do you have a dual-layer burner, I'm assuming you would. Burn the file on a dual-layer disc. OR split the file up into 8 1gb pieces and then use your usb stick.

:confused: The time it would have taken you to transfer each file separetly is less than posting it up here and waiting for a reply..

Open it up in notepad and copy the first 1 gig worth of lines onto your usb key and transfer. Repeat 7 times.

Rar split/Archive the 8GB to a few x1 GB Rar files.

Transfer them one at the time and build it back on the Laptop by executing the Rar files.

Wow does that actually work? I thought you had to always use a file splitter program.

yes, assuming the network is not needed for anything other than this file transfer, this would be the quickest and most painless solution.

Agreed. I happened to click on this thread and kinda feel sour for my wasted time. It looks like a trolling post especially if it was a double post.
