How can you tell if you've fried your CPU?

Any specific symptoms for specific CPU's?

1) Athlon
2) Duron
3) Celeron
4) P2/P3
5) Other CPU's?

well, i think if the computer doesnt boot up it will be fried

well... when I crushed my T-bird -.-;;; stupid global win... I think i'm the first person ever to kill a tbird with one... It would boot up, run for a bit then crash. Eventually it just stopped booting up. So, frequent crashes would be a sign of cpu damage.

If you got A t-bird then call em up and have em replace it. I got my 700 replaced with a 750 =) thank god they were outa stock
