How to take a backup of Windows XP registry ?

Please help me to take a backup of Windows XP registry !
Are there any softwares specially for Windows XP?
 
Try Start|Programs|Accessories|System Tools|Backup

Near the bottom of the list is a "System States" choice.

It should caputure the registry and other essentials.

Don't forget to put 'em someplace you can get to with a DOS boot (a non-NTFS place, like a floppy or ZIP disk).
