Ignore everyone and realize that most of the griefers will be in prison, most of the geeks will burn out, most of the cool kids will be fast food managers, and most of the 'normal kids' will run society - and that you won't hardly know any of them 10 years out from graduation.

the quantity of friends you keep is not nearly as important as the quality. I had a few close friends in highschool, and had a great time. Certainly better than I did in college, for the most part. Not being part of the "in" crowd never bothered me.

Party, meet people, have friends a lot of friends and don't discriminate against anyone for appearance or race or anything really. Be friendly. Just find people who are cool to hang out with and hang out with them. That's about it.... At least it worked for me. I didn't hate high school and I have a lot of great friends at home.

True, but don't become a clique. You should always be open to new people.
