How to store chicken ?

My gf's mom is trying to give us leftover raw chicken from sun (mothers day) that has been refirgerated.

I dont trust it, but she says "OH ITS FINE"

I found this , but it doesnt tell you if this chart is based on WHENEVER you bring chicken home?

What about the chicken at the store. Does this mean they only keep 2 days worth of chicken refrigerated, then alot another 2 days based on the chart. eh....

looks about right. if i were you I would accept it (out of graciousness) then cook it for a long time, then try a bit.
