how to stop this door's problem?

Your are using a light mineral oil meant for a sewing machine to lubricate the door hinge?

First, use WD40 to "clean" out the rust and old grease, then get a good quality silicone lube and spray it. That should take care of it, if not the WD40 alone. The singer oil can't penetrate as well as WD40 can or a silicone spray would.

DO NOT USE WD40. Jesus, why does everyone think this works? It does NOT work as a lubricate. It dries it out. Use Triflow or something like that.

Go to a gun shop and get a bottle of Breakfree CLP and shoot some in there.

What you really need to do is pop the pin out and grease it, or replace the hinge. That is a load-bearing hinge for a fire rated door, and they bear alot of weight. The nylon gets worn and it makes noise. Obiviously, that is not a hinge in a normal house, so you are either in the dorms or rent. Have the big dood replace it.

BTW, oil does not work on nylon. That is what is making the noise.

You'd figure grease on a hinge that big would be been obvious. You'd FIGURE.
