How to stop the itching?

I was at my parent's house the other night and while out playing with my nephew and nieces, my ankles got chewed on by some damn mosquitoes.

It's so bad, it woke me up. I slathered my ankles with Cortizone 10, but it's taking all my will power not to scratch them more!

What's your mosquitoe-itch remedy?

Just scratch it.

Do something that takes your mind of the itch. Don't scratch at all, because that just makes it worse. If you leave it alone, it should disappear quicly enough. I use Caladryl (brand of Calamine lotion), works pretty good for me. Just got bitten 10 times yesterday playing basketball. I'm a mosquito magnet Last time I went to India (going again this summer), I had 30 bites (no joke) on my body at one time. Was a pain in the ass (litterally), and I even had a bite on my eye that made it swollen and hard to see. THis time I'm going with as many bottles of repellant that I can fit.

short of that, it's very hard to resist until you scrach too much that blood comes out. so this is a test of your resistence.
