Recent month had been hellish for my family, we are getting about 2-3 calls/day from political/commercial telemarketers. even on weekends they would call up for donation/selling merchandises/getting your votes. It's just very annoying. Just one simple question, anyway for an average citizen to stop all this garbage or we just have to sit up and take it? at least with emails you can set up filters.

They're not suppose to call you starting 9/1 due to some new law banning pre-recorded telemarketing ads. Unfortunately if you're one of those people who like to enter countless cash and prizes contests, you're pretty much fucked because you gave them the ok to call you.

I usually just put them on hold to see how long they hang on. Sometimes I just hit mute and see how many times they go "hello? Helloooo?"

Shit, there's so much potential, I wish they'd call my house. Talk dirty, babble like a crazy person, mutter about the Jews or the government...

I just signed up to the national do not call list. I get maybe one or two telemarketing calls a year now (none in 2011 so far).
