How to stop site from setting new window size.

Basically I sometimes encounter some annoying websites or popups that load in a separate window in some location and some dimensions. The problem is that it locks the window size to that size and position. Even if I kill the browser the size is fixed.

So basically I would like to know how to stop the changing of the default size/positions. Or at the very least I would like to be able to reset the position at any time. Usually I do have a normal window open when the culprit shows up but the browser still remember the new position only even if I press the shift key.

So I want to stop the window from changing or I want some way to set the size and position to that of a normal open window.

And in case anyone is wondering the browser is IE6.

Thanks

What I hate even more is that I cannot change the size of the window manually. I have to close all windows, resize to have it back to normal is there some way to do it manually or some way to create a webpage that should set the size and position to what I want?

As far as different browsers, I have tried most of them and I either don't like them they are to slow or just horrible and the tabbed browsing drives me insane considering how many windows I sometimes open. And when I do have windows, other browsers like mozilla and firefox are still prone to the same resizing problem and I don't know a way to fix it.

There are legitimate uses for opening new windows with specific features (resizing, scrollbars, address bars, etc.) disabled. This is not a browser issue, in my opinion; it's a problem with websites that abuse the technology features available.

At home I use Admuncher but this is a work PC so I am not going to buy it and reinstalling it every 30 days would be a pain.

Also disabling scripting support works but to many sites including the AnandTech home page use JavaScript so I can't just disable it.

I can handle this being done on my system, I just need some way to reset the position to what it was before and I usually have plenty windows open. So if I could set any one as default manually that would be great.
