How to stop having words pop up when i type in box?

for instance, when you got into google and start typing something in a little box below will popup giving words i have typed in before. how do i turn this off?

Look for settings having to do with autocomplete or history?

Then shortly afterwards you will encounter a pop-up dialog box asking if you want to turn auto-complete on. Just check no.
