How to stop eMail?

Where is the checkbox to turn off the EMail notification for responses to posts or threads?
It gets tiresome getting them and can soon take up your mailbox without regular deleting.

Don't click on "subscribe to this thread." At the top of this page, you should see "new topic profile help faq my forums calendar home logout" Click on "my forums." Then at the top, you should have a list of topics you've subscribed to. Click on select all, then click on unsubscribe. That should fix it.

Subscribing to them is how I keep track of the threads I started or posted in without having to search the entire site.
Any way to do that and still lose the eMail notifications?

deliver subscriptions to your PM box,
Go to your profile, then personal options, pick Subscription Delivery: PM

Another option is to start a "AT threads" folder in you browsers "Favorites" for the threads you want to keep track of.

Instead of clicking "Topic Tools->Subscribe to this topic" use "Topic Tools->Bookmark this topic."

The thread will appear on the same page as your subscriptions under "my forums" and you will never get any emails.
