When we had a puppy he had a bit of a biting problem and we tried all of the methods you have employed thus far. What eventually worked was teaching him to bite on command; once he understood that making him not bite was a cinch.

ps. And lots of chew toys.

Try coupling a loud screech or "no!"with a time out in an isolated place.

LOL... that's for cats!

You need to making biting unpleasent for the dog... yell at him loud enough to hurt his ears (don't use his name, otherwise he'll associate his name with being bad)... or give him a swat on the hind quarters... not hard enough to knock him over, but hard enough to make it sting.

The dog needs to chew, that's all there is to it. Just make sure he has something to chew that won't be expensive to replace (chew toys). I learned the hard way with my dog, she chewed threw some wires that functioned the sprinklers and we had to get those fixed. However, she outgrew the chewing thing so now it's not a problem. It's like when a human baby needs to chew; dogs need it too.

EDIT: Oh, sorry, I thought this was a chewing ("biting") problem, not a biting/aggression problem. Never had that, so I can't advise there.

Well we have about 30 chew toys for him, so thats never a problem... We've also used ice cubes and a frozen rag to make him stop, and while he loves his toys, he still bites us....

Were gonna have to get him under control soon... Last night he lunged at my girlfriends face while she was brushing him and took a good bite out of her lip (which mind you is already sore from having braces put on about 4 days ago).

get him to bite your hand, then when he does make a fist and shove it as far into his mouth as possible (w/o hurting him) and then grab his snout and hold it there. then say "no bite". when he bites you again say no bite, if he doesn't stop then do it again. it works.

bite = no play

my dog bites, but never hard so i didn't bother discouraging it cuz he's weenie. that and he never bit when angry etc, just in play. which made the difference. i just grab his lower jaw and hold it, he does'nt like that:) that or pull him forward my his fangs, or clamp his upper muzzle and hold.

its like wrestling. submit you little b*tch!!!!

course depends on breed and temperament.
