How to start writing a professional email

My company has taught in training to always start the email to our members by saying:

Dear Mr. Member,

Hope my email finds you well

Bla bla bla

I am finding the Hope your email finds you well getting a bit too old

Can you suggest some other phrases that would sound professional yet give my emails some variety and spice?

thanks a lot

I write all mine as

Name,

This is the point. I don't want to saying anything but my point because I know you are probably like everyone else and don't really want to read my crap and don't honestly give a shit about anything but the point.

Sincerely,
Me.

That is what my Chinese manufacturers do with every email. Yes, it gets old. There is no need for it but how do I tell them when it takes so much effort just to get them to understand the basic idea of what I want?

Business email needs to be straight to the point. People are focused on getting the job done, not looking to be wished well on a familiar and personal level by someone they have never met.

If you want to try the personal touch with a familiar client or customer, then put that personal touch at the end. The priority is business first.

Sometimes before holiday weekends I will say:
Enjoy your holiday.
Sincerely,
chusteczka

And then after the holiday weekend I will say something similar to:
I hope your holiday was fun/enjoyable.
Sincerely,
chusteczka

Dear Respected One,

GREETINGS,

Permit me to inform you of my desire of going into business relationship with you. I got your contact from the International web site directory. I prayed over it and selected your name among other names due to it's esteeming nature and the recommendations given to me as a reputable and trust worthy person I can do business with and by the recommendations I must not hesitate to confide in you for this simple and sincere business.

Perfect. All the hallmarks of a legitimate business proposal. OP, use this for all your email intros.

But make it all-caps so that people know you're serious.

Yeah, if I do the friendly stuff, it's as the sign-off.

And no generic BS! Either know your customers, clients and coworkers, or don't pretend. Take notes if you need to.

Steve,

Problem, proposed solution 1, 2, 3. Please get back to me.

Hope your kid's leg is healing alright,

Regards,

Dave

I used to do 'Howdy [user],' but then I got shit from one of my many bosses after a couple months of doing it. Apparently he thought it was too uppity or some shit. Everyone in the department knew me as the guy who said Howdy and was cheerful or some shit. (You know, I was refreshing.) Whatever. So now I use Hello and I'm a fucking robot.

This.

The opening in the OP would rank the e-mail very high on my "spam/not-spam?" analysis.

Dear Mr. Bunghole,

+2

although, depending on the context, I will usually say "Thank you," instead of Sincerely or just leave off the closing entirely.

Hello X,

This is what I need you to do.

Thank you,
