I tried all the standard places to shut it off. And then I couldn't find the prog to un-install it. Help!

If you don't have the extensions showing, you can access the extensions by clicking on the puzzle piece where the right-most arrow is pointing to. Otherwise, you can click on the ad blocker program icon (where the left-most arrow is pointing at).

I've tried that. There is no 'puzzle piece', and I've already looked in 'extensions'...no ad blocker there .

Extensions I have there are:
*password mngr
*App launcher for Open Drive
*DuckDuckGo
*Google Docs

Tbh if it's urgent I would just download another browser (e.g. Edge or Firefox) and solve this problem another day.

The DuckDuckGo extension messes with ad network trackers to protect privacy (while not blocking ads themselves) so it might be at fault if the website has some anti-adblock mechanism.

You could try an incognito window. Is it possible the blocking is happening at the DNS level? You might also want to check your DNS settings.
