My Z560 sub is supposed to be as far away as possible from my tower.. but what if I HAD to have it fairly close?

(think of the tower on the right hand side of my desk, and the sub being underneath)

The two are seperated by a piece of wood (the desk) being half inch thick. That isn't going to do anything, is it?

So how could I do this? How could I shield the sub?

Thanks

Well, I would buy some bubble wrap. Lots and lots of bubble wrap. Roughly 600 cubic yards. Cut a hole in the middle for your sub. Insert the sub. Then, use a few rolls of duct tape to seal it within. Finally, get some plastic wrap and do a few hundred coats with that. Should be good to go!

You need to keep your sub at least 50 feet from your CPU. If you don't you will corrupt your harddrives.

That is because bass are rude fish. Get a trout instead. When frozen they make a handy weapon.
