How to share a HD in Win XP?

I'm trying to setup a two computer network which will share an internet connection. I've got the internet connection working and I can access the hard drive of the Win 98 machine, but the XP machine is not sharing. How can I enable it?

Did you right-click on the drive in Windows Explorer, go to "Sharing and Security" and enable sharing?

I right clicked the drive but there is no Sharing and Security option there.

OK I don't know how but the Sharing and Security is there now. So I enabled sharing, but when the guest computer tries to browse it will ask for a password. I never entered any password so why is it asking? I pressed enter and it says it's an invalid password.

Everyone accessing your WinXP box needs a username and password, you are only being asked for a password because it is using the win98 logon name. Create a username and password in winxp and then use this same username and password to log into WinXP, then you will have access to files on your WinXP machine.
