I know this has been asked before, but I can't seem to get a thorough answer and solution working.
I have a Dlink DIR-655 router.
Connected to it, I have VOIP(192.168.0.100), Gaming PC also running utorrent(192.168.0.199), 2 laptops, 2 wireless printers, etc...
I would like to set my VOIP phone as having priority over every thing else.
Then Web browsing from all PCs next priority
Then utorrent somewhere down the line.
I see that I can go to the QOS tab and set the IP address and assign it a certain priority - on a scale of 1 - 255(255 being the lowest).
If I list my VOIP as having priority of 1, do I need to list what ports it uses?
Also, how do I separate utorrent from the rest on the online apps(eg: BF2142) on my Gaming PC? I see that I can put in the PCs IP address and also the port utorrent uses (let's say 36999). Is that how it works?
I guess if utorrent uses one of the same ports that BF2142 does, I can manually assign it one that doesn't conflict.
thanks alot,
rp.
