I think it requires the add-on program called something like ShutdownNow! I believe.
Go to the MBM page and it should tell you and give links.

I don't know how common it is, but the Award BIOS in my KT133 motherboard has options in the bios settings to have it auto-shutdown the system at a user defined temp.

I've got mine set to shut off if it hits 55C.

thats all very well getting the shutdown program but how do i set it up in Motherboard monitor? i have version 5.5

There's a way to start an exe when an alarm goes off.
I'm not at my main computer at the moment, but I know I've seen the screen before to do that.
I don't have 5.5(I have 5.3), but from the MBM webpage, there's a screenshot that shows there is a "3rd Party" option, you can probably pick the program there.
Poke around, look through all the menus in MBM and you'll find what you need.
